« Semences en résistance » est une animation développée dans le cadre du documentaire « Semences : bien commun ou propriété des entreprises ? », réalisé en 2017 par un collectif d'organisations latino-américaines qui œuvrent, à l’échelle de tout le continent, à la défense des semences indigènes comme fondement de la souveraineté alimentaire des peuples. Nous partageons aujourd'hui cette animation afin d’en faire un outil supplémentaire pour vous former et former les autres sur cette problématique.

Whereas Irish potato (Solanum tuberosum) is a major staple food in many countries, it is one of the priority value chain crops under the Rwanda’s Crop Intensification Program (CIP). Le projet CALAO – Capitalisation d’expériences d’acteurs pour le développement de techniques agroécologiques résilientes en Afrique de l’Ouest – a été mis en œuvre au cours de l’année 2017 dans le cadre du Projet d’appui à la sécurité alimentaire en Afrique de l’Ouest (PASANAO), financé par l’AFD et dont la maîtrise d’ouvrage est assurée par la CEDEAO.
La production et la commercialisation de lait en Afrique de l’Ouest fait partie intégrante de l’économie et du mode de vie des familles d’éleveurs ruraux. La filière présente des potentiels de croissance certains avec un cheptel important, un secteur de la transformation dynamique et des débouchés en forte augmentation du fait de la croissance démographique et de l’urbanisation. Cette filière lait local est cependant aux prises à de nombreuses difficultés internes qui limitent fortement son développement.
