In line with the government of Mozambique’s strategies, this document proposes an innovative model with high promise to develop value-adding market led post-harvest processing enterprises and to transform the post harvest-processing sector in Mozambique, while creating sustainable jobs and increasing incomes. The challenge is to ensure coordination across value chains to guarantee that the right conditions are in place for making the Agribusiness Innovation Center (AIC) a success.
This paper illustrates already practiced models and strategies of high impact innovations around the world with particular respect to India. The shown examples of innovative businesses were selected based on four criteria reflecting their innovative character. Firstly, innovations need to fulfil a value for the life of people which exceeds the mere use of the product. Secondly, it requires good quality products or service for an affordable price even for lower income groups.

Parmi les projets conçus à cet effet figure la promotion des cycles économiques en milieu rural. Se fondant sur l’agriculture contractuelle comme instrument efficace, le projet ProEcon appuie l’intégration des petits exploitants agricoles dans les chaines de valeur, l’objectif étant d’augmenter leurs possibilités de revenu.

Tanzania has tremendous potential to support a thriving agribusiness sector. Agriculture is diverse and extensive, employing more than 80 percent of the population, and contributing about 28 percent of Gross Domestic Product, or GDP and 30 percent of export earnings. A wide range of agricultural commodities are produced in Tanzania, including fiber (sisal, cotton), beverages (coffee, tea), sugar, grains (a diverse range of cereals and legumes), horticulture (temperate and tropical fruits, vegetables and flowers) and edible oils.
El presente cuaderno “Desarrollo de capacidades para cooperaciones con el sector privado (CDP) — Servicios de asesoramiento”, concebido como documento informativo general, proporciona una visión de conjunto de la oferta de asesoramiento en el ámbito del desarrollo de capacidades para diferentes formas de cooperación entre el Estado y el sector privado (CDP, por sus siglas en inglés).
Este manual incluye muy diversas herramientas y metodologías para promover el dialogo social constructivo e incluyente, el cambio de las organizaciones, la promoción de redes y alianzas para alcanzar objetivos de paz, la planeación, el seguimiento y la evaluación orientados a impactos. Todos estos temas, desde la perspectiva de la larga experiencia de trabajo de GTZ en el mundo, están muy relacionados con las capacidades necesarias para la construcción de paz.
Esta guía propone un enfoque participativo y estratégico del desarrollo de capacidades en el sector educativo. Como herramienta al servicio de los actores en cada país, debe ayudarles a evaluar los planes sectoriales de educación y las capacidades para su puesta en práctica, detectar las deficiencias de capacidad a partir de los recursos existentes, y fijar las prioridades para una estrategia de desarrollo de capacidades. Tras ese proceso, el desarrollo de capacidades debería figurar y reconocerse colectivamente como una prioridad en la agenda nacional.
The aim of this report is to provide a detailed review of documented social learning processes for climate changeand natural resource managementas described in peer-reviewed literature. Particular focus is on identifying (1) lessons and principles, (2) tools and approaches, (3) evaluation of social learning, as well as (4) concrete examples of impacts that social learning has contributed to.
The Sourcebook is the outcome of joint planning, continued interest in gender and agriculture, and concerted efforts by the World Bank, FAO, and IFAD. The purpose of the Sourcebook is to act as a guide for practitioners and technical staff inaddressing gender issues and integrating gender-responsive actions in the design and implementation of agricultural projects and programs. It speaks not with gender specialists on how to improve their skills but rather reaches out to technical experts to guide them in thinking through how to integrate gender dimensions into their operations.
