The objective of this paper is to show how Value Chain Analysis for Development (VCA4D) applied sustainable development concept for value chain analysis to establish a manageable set of criteria allowing to provide quantitative information, which is desperately lacking in many situations in developing economies, usable by decision makers and in line with policymakers concerns and strategies (the “international development agenda”).

This paper summarizes analyses of a global literature review on women in fisherfolk organizations.
The Policy Compendium for Rural Advisory Services (RAS) is a tool that contributes to filling the gap between the rural advisory services (RAS) policy environment and RAS efforts in the field. It helps direct decisions and facilitate successful policy processes and outcomes in extension and advisory services by making knowledge accessible, fostering synergies and promoting policy processes to improve RAS and rural development. The high prevalence of Vitamin A deficiency in Zambian population, particularly among the young children of rural areas, has been a consistent phenomenon in the country for a while. In response to this, several government’s policies have, since 1998, been formulated to promote increased intake of the vitamin while encouraging healthy food intake. La Tunisie cherche à réorienter ses politiques d'Aménagement et de conservation des eaux et des sols (ACES) afin qu'elles gagnent en efficacité, en s'appuyant sur des démarches participatives innovantes. Cette orientation s'inscrit dans des contextes ruraux souvent peu documentés où la dimension environnementale nécessite d'être objectivée. De plus, il existe peu d'espaces de dialogue et de concertation entre les principales catégories d'acteurs des espaces ruraux concernés.

Entre el 17 y el 17 de mayo de 2016, estas jornadas se combinaron con el Seminario Internacional “Los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible y la Construcción de Futuros para América Latina y el Caribe”.
