Classical innovation adoption models implicitly assume homogenous information flow across farmers, which is often not realistic. As a result, selection bias in adoption parameters may occur. We focus on tissue culture (TC) banana technology that was introduced in Kenya more than 10 years ago. Up till now, adoption rates have remained relatively low.
El propósito de este Manual es ejercer de guía para profesionales y personal técnico al tratar cuestiones de género y al integrar acciones de perspectiva de género en el diseño e implementación de programas y proyectos agrarios. No se dirige a especialistas de género para que mejoren sus capacidades sino más bien a expertos técnicos para guiarlos a analizar a conciencia cómo integrar la dimensión de género en sus operaciones.
Esta tesis tuvo como propósito analizar y conocer el aporte que las fincas integrales realizan a la conservación de los servicios ecosistémicos y al mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de las familias que dependen de ellas, mediante el uso de criterios e indicadores que fueron construidos para el efecto y la aplicación del Enfoque de Medios de Vida Sostenibles (EMVS) y el Marco de los Capitales de la Comunidad (MCC), métodos que permitieron la comparación entre las fincas identificadas (integrales, en proceso de integración y no integrales).

Para eso busca: Recuperar y analizar experiencias existentes de AUP y su potencial a nivel mundial; Identificar los sistemas productivos existentes y las áreas municipales potenciales para el desarrollo de la AUP; Caracterizar la comunidad tomando en relación con la seguridad alimentaria y nutricional y adaptar metodologías para la creación de capacidades en las comunidades atendidas.
