Esta es una publicación que busca asociar la experiencia del Programa Mujeres Ey Desarrollo Económico Local-MyDEL en Guatemala, con rutas de análisis para lograr el escalamiento de políticas públicas que potencien los derechos económicos de las mujeres, que abran espacios para su empoderamiento y participación en la gobernanza, y que favorezcan de manera sostenida su acceso a activos productivos; especialmente a nivel de los territorios.
El documento presenta una lectura general sobre la situación de las mujeres rurales en Colombia desde un enfoque territorial. Para su realización se acudió a una amplia revisión documental, pero también al encuentro con mujeres y experiencias claves frente al tema.
Este estudio tiene como principal orientación recoger, documentar y analizar experiencias relevantes de empoderamiento de las mujeres rurales en Chile, en vistas a otorgar orientaciones a las políticas públicas que contribuyan al desarrollo y mitigación de la pobreza.

The world’s population is likely to reach 9 billion by the middle of this century. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) believes that 60 per cent more food will be needed by 2050 to sustain all these people. Where possible, this food should be produced where it is needed – in developing countries.

Africa Lead also contributes to the Feed the Future goals of reduced hunger and poverty by building the capacity of Champions — i.e., men and women leaders in agriculture — and the institutions in which they operate to develop, lead, and manage the policies, structures, and processes needed for transformation.
