This brochure presents the UNDP approach to supporting capacity development and the policy statements that UNDP supports. These are backed up by ongoing research and analysis of capacity development theory, methods and applications. The services included are examples of capacity development initiatives that can be supported by UNDP or its partners. Este documento presenta la propuesta de directrices para el Monitoreo Comunitario Participativo en Colombia, que incluye elementos para la integración de la información registrada a nivel local con el Sistema Nacional de Monitoreo Forestal liderado por el IDEAM (SMByC). The purpose of this publication (part of the FAO series on sustainable food value chain development) is to facilitate the systematic integration of gender equality dimensions into value chain development programmes and projects. It raises awareness on gender inequalities and discusses the importance of addressing these dimensions in value chain development, while also building a common approach for work on gender-sensitive value chain development.
The Guide to Effective Collaborative Action is built on the foundation of 10 years' experience in transforming food and agricultural commodity systems by UNDP's Green Commodities Programme. It is broadening the application from support to commodity production to the transformation of food systems. The four building blocks of putting systems change into practice, integrated with backbone support and essential practices for stakeholder actions, provide a framework for Changing Systems through Collaborative Action.

This Guidance Note is designed to assist UNDP Country Offices in programming and policy support for national sustainable agricultural commodity projects. The Note is based on UNDP’s environmental, poverty, governance, finance and private sector work on sustainable commodities and their supply chains.
