En esta primera unidad la presentación comenta las tendencias observadas en el sector rural con un enfoque en la globalización y la necesidad de pluralismo, también discute el desarrollo de los SIA para enfrentar los cambios en el contexto rural, y los tipos de proveedores de los SEA (Servicios de extensión agrícola) y sus roles.
