In this 90-minute webinar, Illuminating Hidden Harvests experts and authors share the rationale and methods behind the initiative and some of the progress and results so far. It includes a moderated roundtable discussion on how to leverage the methods, information and results from the IHH study towards improved policy decision making and in-country capacity for inter-disciplinary data collection and analysis.
This event, co-organised by the UfM, FAO Regional Office for the Near East and North Africa (FAO RNE) and CIHEAM, aims to raise awareness on the gender-differentiated impacts of climate change on agri-food systems, and on the interventions that are needed to address them, build women and girls’ resilience, and unleash their potential to mitigate climate change and adapt to its impacts.
The webinar aims to demonstrate effective institutional and individual capacity development approaches during the formulation and implementation of the NAPs. In addition, examples of practical approaches and tools to assess individual and institutional capacities for National Adaptation Planning will be presented by UNITAR. While country representatives will speak on their experience in carrying out both institutional and individual capacity development, in addition to individual skills assessments.
