The study was undertaken by a panel of external experts. The study included a survey questionnaire to the CRPs about their planned use of metrics and indicators for CRP- and system-level IDOs, and a workshop with CRP members, selected partners, donors and other CGIAR stakeholders.

The Excel workbook contains some preconfigured spreadsheets that can be used for entering data collected through the capacity scoring questionnaire (Version 1 and Version 2), which has been developed in the context of the the CDAIS project, and to perform some basic analysis as well as visualize the data.

Con ellos se busca detectar “puntos críticos” en los sistemas de producción que limitan su sostenibilidad, de forma tal que se pueda iniciar un proceso de elaboración de “estrategias de gestión sostenible” enfocado al fortalecimiento de la agricultura familiar y al desarrollo de los territorios rurales en los que se desenvuelven.
El concepto de desarrollo sostenible (DS) tiene como punto de referencia el Informe de la Comisión Bruntland, donde se le describe como un “proceso capaz de satisfacer las necesidades de las generaciones presentes sin comprometer la capacidad de las generaciones futuras de satisfacer las suyas” (ONU,1987). Desde esa perspectiva, el desarrollo económico y el uso racional de los recursos naturales están inexorablemente unidos en el tiempo y el espacio.
