How we eat has a major impact on our individual health status, our quality of life and our well-being. Many of the foods we eat have a major social, environmental, climate and animal welfare footprint. This expertise defines policies to promote sustainability in food consumption as policies that integrate all four target dimensions: human health, social aspects, the natural environment (including climate) and animal welfare. Achieving greater sustainability in food consumption poses great challenges.
The overall objective of the Comprehensive Assessment of the Agricultural Sector (CAAS) is to provide an evidence base to enable appropriate strategic policy responses by the Government of Liberia (GoL) and its development partners in order to maximize the contribution of the agriculture sector to the Government's overarching policy objectives. Given the strong relationship between growth in agricultural productivity and poverty reduction, future efforts in Liberia need to focus on productivity enhancing measures with a pro-poor focus that increase incomes.
El presente documento contiene un primer borrador de lineamientos generales de política pública para la agricultura campesina, familiar y comunitaria en Colombia, construido en el marco de la Mesa Técnica de Agricultura Familiar y Economía Campesina que lidera el Viceministerio de Desarrollo Rural. El objetivo de este documento es recibir la retroalimentación por parte de un grupo de expertos internacionales en agricultura familiar y de los actores participantes de la Mesa Técnica de Agricultura Familiar y Economía Campesina.
